The argument between producers is finally over
"Notre-Dame de Paris" original cast will meet again to perform in honor of Luc Plamondon`s and Riccardo Cocciante`s famous musical.
The рerformances in honor of "Notre-Dame de Paris" will take place in several weeks in Paris. The argument between French producers is over now. Garou, Daniel Lavoie, Bruno Pelletier and Luck Merville can finally pack their things.
The producer Charles Talar, who represents the original version of this musical since the very beginning, and producer Gilbert Coullier, who represents the brand new version, without costumes, decorations and libretto, but along with Ukraine National Symphonic Orchestra and Kiev Choir, finally found the agreement, less than in 2 months before the premier in Bercy.
«There is an agreement between Russian producers and Gilbert Coullier, M. Talar says. We gave them a permission to demonstrate their show during 3 evenings in Bercy, but ONLY these 3 evenings. And then everything will be over. This show in such a way will never take place again anywhere in the world.»
From his side, Gilbert Coullier, told, that agreement finally took place, for everybody`s joy. 30 000 spectators are being waited in these 3 evenings, in December 16-18.
8 000 PERFORMANCES
This show took place in Moscow and Kiev last year and was a huge success. But the producer of the original version, Charles Talar, who represented more than 8000 рerformances of "Notre Dame" de Paris in the whole world, year by year, considers that the new version spoils the original musical by Luc Plamondon and Ricardo Cocciante and feels very upset about that. «I devoted many years of my live and a lot of finances to this show», he told us several months ago.
After numerous arguments between advocates, the affair is done, financial agreement took place. Three concerts will be held in Bercy.
IN KIEV AT FIRST
70 musicians and 40 singers participate in the show, along with the original performers Patrick Fiori, Garou, Hélène Ségara, Daniel Lavoie, Luck Merville, Julie Zenatti et Bruno Pelletier.
«We are enormously happy», - Bruno Pelletier`s manager Paul Lévesque commented on yesterday. «The show must go on. So much emotions, to meet together again in Paris 10 years after. It was so exciting to watch lights from 16000 spectator`s cell phones, while Bruno was singing Lune. It was terrific!!!! It will be even greater in Paris.»
So, original cast will take a flight to Kiev at first, where this show will be repeated with symphonic orchestra and choir. The premier will take place in Kiev, December the 13th, before all the troupe arrives in Paris.
