Louise Forestier

Louise Forestier is a singer, actress and a songwriter. She was born in August 1943. She began her debut on stage in the mid-60`s. her first solo album was released in 1965. She starred in the musical «Tomorrow morning Monreal is waiting for me» («Demain matin Monreal m`attend»). At the same time she released her third album «Avec enzymes», which had a great success.

In 1981 Louise Forestier landed a role in the rock opera «Starmania». In the same year she was on tour in the former Soviet Union with a program devoted to Jaques Brel.

In 1990 she performed a role of the poet`s mother in the famous opera 
«Nelligan» .
 
The music for her new CD «Forestier chante Louise», released in 1997, was written by Daniel Lavoie. Daniel was also the director of this album. Louise writes lyrics for other artists such as Eric Lapointe and Isabelle Boulay. In 2008 the song «1500 miles», performed by Eric Lapointe and co-written with Daniel Lavoie, received a prestigious SOCAN prize.

There is a song by her poetry on Daniel`s album «Où la route mène/Ici» - «Nantucket». She participated in the recording of the song «Les amoureux pond de Fer» in the latest album by Daniel Lavoie «Dоcteur Tendresse».
