Daniel Lavoie alters the scope of his activities. Between releasing two albums, the french-manitobe artist, born in Dunrea, southwest of Winnipeg, has written his very first book, «Finutilités». But this time, his lyrics will not turn to songs.
According to the General President and Director Joanne Terrien: «It was very important for Daniel Lavoie to publish his book in Manitoba, his native land. That's why he has chosen our publishing house. Writing his first book became the favorable moment for him to go back to his roots.»
The book will consist of series of short stories, reflections of public issues. «It will be quite short texts, balancing between the oratory style and more literary one» - adds «des Plaines» publisher Huguette Le Gall, - « these texts include the beauty, the challenge and depth of thought. It will be very interesting scenes that will make you think. But there is a musical reflection in it «by means of his addiction to the exact words, rhythm, which he gives to his phrases.
